Join Sam & Hari from Star Safari and The Phoenix Astronomical Society with the Air Cadets: 21 Squadron support for a fun morning of Water Rocket Launches in Carrington Park!!

This FREE family activity blasts off at 10 am on Sunday, October 6, at Carrington Park. You will design and personalise your own water rocket and launch it into space.

Geoff Palmer from the Phoenix Astronomical Society discusses rocket launches with a space enthusiast while the Levitate coffee cart in the background prepares some awesome coffee. Carterton Space Week 2023

Masterton District Council’s Play trailer will be there with outdoor games, and the Levitate coffee cart will be on-site for Mum & Dad to get their morning caffeine fix.


The event begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m. (this 30-minute activity can be done again and again)!
No tickets required – Just come on down!
